The closet will provide at least 3-5 days of food. Assist any agencies/ volunteer groups in meeting these hunger needs in the community. Program participants must report to the Red Cross for initial intake and receive paperwork to bring to food closet. Must be a resident of Newark. Mon.-Fri., 3:30pm until all are served.

Offering emergency food assistance to residents of Wayne County at its main office at 1141 East Union Street in Newark. The food pantry is open from 9:00am to 2:00pm (closed 12pm-1pm unless by appointment) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Persons needing food assistance should present photo identification for self and proof of residency for each individual residing within the household. Except in special circumstances, assistance will be available once every 90 days.
