seniors who see needs in the Wayne County Community and want to
empower themselves to respond to those needs. Salvation Army needs
volunteers for Service Unit committees in small communities. Be the
eyes, ears, hands and heart of The Salvation Army in your community.
The Salvation Army is a local resource for people in critical need. Some
types of projects/services that the Salvation Army Service provides,
but is not limited to is: food baskets during the holidays, school supplies
for children, scholarships for high school graduates, financial assistance
for prescriptions, shoes and clothes for families in financial
crisis, assistance with utility costs, food vouchers, sending children to
camp, visits to nursing homes and helping your neighbor during natural
