is a group of local, volunteers who come together on a regular basis to
offer each other encouragement and support in living with mood disorders.
Unless otherwise specified, meetings are free of charge and open to
anyone with depression or bipolar disorder. Family members and friends
are welcome at many meetings. See the meeting descriptions below.

This meeting is not a formal DBSA meeting. It is open to all in

Second Thursday of the month - 7-8:30pm, Fellowship Hall in the
lower level. The mission of NAMI-Wayne County, as a satellite of
NAMI-Rochester, is: To provide support-the opportunity to establish
friendships with understanding, to share problems and feelings,
offering hope, and strength to others who may be going through similar
experiences. To provide a forum for families, friends, and/or including
individuals to help each other explore effective ways of coping with the
impact of mental illness or MICA (Mentally Incapacited, Chemically
Addicted) situations regardless of age. To make available information
and education about mental illness, the service delivery system, community
programs and resources, mental health legislation, research breakthroughs,
and other associated issues. To improve attitudes and reduce
stigma towards mental illness and to advocate on behalf of persons with
mental illness or MICA situations and their families and friends.
