Comprehensive counseling services are provided to children, adults, couples, families and groups. Fees are determined according to a sliding scale. For the first visit, there is a fixed fee of $20. Issues addressed include depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, anger, stress, marital and relationship problems, bereavement and parenting concerns. Methods for dealing with issues include individual or group counseling, couples or family counseling, play therapy, stress or anger management programs or family skill-building groups.

Anger management groups for adolescents are conducted on-site at participating middle and high schools in Wayne County. Each group runs for ten sessions, either once a week for ten weeks or twice a week for five weeks.

A class designed to help you or someone you may refer, better understand and deal with anger. Designed for anyone dealing with and recovering from a variety of issues ranging from mental health disorders, alcoholism, drug abuse/addiction, and problems coping comes from. Class topics: understanding anger, styles of expressing anger, holistic effects of anger, stress reduction, conflict resolution and making peace with where you.ve been. Classes held throughout the year and fill rapidly.

Serving parents, grandparents and caregivers of children with emotional, behavioral, mental and/or developmental disabilities. Providing support groups with speakers, peer support, education, respite child care, intensive support services, annual parents retreat, teen programming, information and referral services. Any child or youth with an emotional, behavioral and/or mental disorder and his/her family residing in Wayne County is eligible for free services. No diagnosis or referral necessary.
